At A Work in Progress Productions, we are committed to providing quality training at affordable prices. In our third year, we have grown from 15 students to over 100, from 2 classes to over 20. And because we have so many, we know the website can be confusing — too many details!!! So let’s break it down. This post is part of the “ClassesUpClose” series, where we take an entire post to focus on one or two classes.
In this case, let’s check out our dance class offerings for ages 4-12. We offer both Classical Ballet and Creative Dance for these ages in an encouraging and fun atmosphere. Beginners will feel at ease while those with more experience will be challenged.
Basic info for both classes:
- Classes located at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Attleboro
- Fall session: 8 weeks. Tuesday’s from September 13-November 1, with an open house on September 6. The fall session concludes with our annual Fall Class Presentation

Here’s more about the classes and fantastic teachers:
This class will encourage children to have fun, be confident, and use their imaginations while learning beginner jazz steps and acrobatic skills. Students will build on their flexibility, balance, strength, and memorization. Taught by Homeschooler Danielle Chace, who interned with us last year. Danielle’s love for dance began at a very young age. After discovering Donald O’Connor for the first time, she begged her mother to sign her up for tap dancing lessons. Soon after, she fell in love with all styles of dance. Danielle currently trains over 12 hours a week in tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical, hip hop, and acro with Shooting Stars School of Dance in Seekonk, MA. Her favorite genre is acro and she received the Acro Dancer of the Year Award for 2015. Additionally, Danielle has been competing for the past three years and is currently a class demonstrator at her studio.
Students in Classical Ballet classes will learn alignment fundamentals and ballet basics. In a nurturing and fun environment, students will work on technique, physical awareness and discipline. This training will impact them for years to come as they learn self-control, poise, and grow in strength. Taught by Homeschooler Bailey Tolliver.
Bailey began dance instruction at the age of three at The Turning Pointe School of Dance, in Plainville MA. After almost a decade of taking ballet, jazz, and lyrical, Bailey decided to focus on classical ballet, Isadora Duncan, and contemporary. In 2014 she performed in The Nutcracker as a Spanish chocolate, flower, and angel, and decided to dance full time at Foxboro Classical Ballet under the direction of 3 former Boston Ballet performers, including a former Boston Ballet Mistress and the current Ballet Mistress for Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre. In 2015 she joined Perceptions Concert Dance Experience, a pre-professional contemporary company, and performed in For the Living under the direction of Alexander Drapinski. Bailey has enjoyed demonstrating for 3 different studios in jazz and ballet, and likes to attend dance intensives. For fun she has taken classes in hip hop, tap, and acro but also enjoys the outdoors and camping with her family.
We just know the aspiring dancers in our community will adore these teachers! If you have any questions, contact us. There are more details on the individual class sites, and that’s where you can register. (Click here for Creative Dance and here for Classical Ballet)
