Classes up Close: Looking towards January

img_0022Now that our fall classes are underway and running very smoothly (the kids are having the best time, while learning so much!)… it’s time to promote our classes that start in January! As with the fall classes, we expect them all to fill quickly, so now is the time to register!

Speaking of the fall classes, check out a few of them on this slideshow!

We will be doing individual blog posts dedicated to each class in the coming weeks, but here is an overview of what is available:

  • Sewing! Yes, sewing information is now online! For ages 8+

  • Drawing – a basic drawing class for ages 12+ with our popular instructor from last year.

  • Illustration – a more intermediate drawing class that will actually ILLUSTRATE a book, which will be written by the Creative Writing class!

  • Creative Writing – this class will be working with a twice-published author to create an original literary piece (which will be illustrated by the Illustration class). For ages 12+

  • Combo Illustration+Creative Writing – take both classes and save, while both writing AND illustrating an original piece!

  • Ballet Technique for Ages 12+ – Back by popular demand, this low-pressure class makes the beautiful discipline of ballet an enjoyable experience for students of all levels.

  • Intro to Vocal Technique for ages 12+ – a vocal class where students will learn how to properly develop their singing voices. A must!

  • High Notes Children’s Choir – this year there are TWO options, for ages 4-8 and 9-13. These groups will perform as part of the Junior Production of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” in April – so if you didn’t get into one of the “Charlie” groups, this is a great way to still be part of the production. This class is always a hit!

  • Creative Dance – This popular class focuses on jazz and acro (among other dance styles) in a fun and encouraging atmosphere. This group will also be part of the junior production of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” in April on the big stage! Such a great experience. Classes for ages 4-11!

  • Classical Ballet – Parents whose kids have taken our ballet classes rave that it is a comfortable, encouraging environment for dancers of all levels. Kids have fun while learning such a wonderful art form! These kids will also be part of the Junior Production of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” in April. For ages 4-11.

  • Combo Classical+Creative – Take both classes and SAVE!

  • A Staged Reading of “Little Women” for ages 12+ — Join us in this intensive acting course where the production elements are stripped away, leaving plenty of space to explore character development and scene study.

Stay tuned because we may also be adding another acting class for those on the “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” waiting list.

AWIP Scolarship Graphic [Recovered] 2We are thrilled to be offering so many classes at such great prices, but we cannot do it without support from the community! Please visit our In Progress Fund page to learn how your friends and families can help support us, as we struggle to provide classes at low costs, while giving out thousands in scholarships and discounts and reaching out to our communities.  Watch our promotional video, below, for more info on our Ad Drive Campaign, which has 4 weeks left!
