As our school year comes to a close, we reflect on how far we have come…
but we can’t make progress without you!
Did you or your family benefit from the classes, productions, or workshops AWIP held this year? Well as a non-profit trying to keep costs low, we need all the help we can get to continue offering what we have been!
We are very excited to announce that we have had a generous matching gift offer made by Michael Keating, proud supporter of the arts in and around Massachusetts for decades. As Jennifer (Keating) Roca’s father, he fostered her love for the arts and still encourages her today to continue making the arts accessible to all. It is our Fiscal Year End on May 31, so Mr. Keating has announced that he will match every donation, dollar-for-dollar, up to $1,000 from now until June 1. Help AWIP end well, and start the next year off on a firm foundation!
Wondering what else AWIP does besides productions and classes in the arts? Here’s a sample of what we do, and what we hope to do:
We give away over $3,000 in scholarships and discounts each year
We keep prices low so that homeschooling families don’t have to cut the arts out of their curriculum
We provide Salt+Light, our acclaimed performance outreach group, to bring FREE performance art to our surrounding communities (schools, churches, community centers, nursing homes, and more)
We’ve been fixing up the Tolman Stage on our own, providing a clean, safe space for both our students as well as the Tolman students
We hope to one day own our own facility, which we would offer to local homeschooling groups who frequently don’t have places to hold co-ops, classes, or workshops
