TIP: Tech in Progress
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic and our mainstage being produced in a new way this fall, there will be no TIP Crew this fall. Students interested in interning may apply here (a handful of tech interns will be needed for our event). The Spring TIP Crew is still in place but that may change. Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter and socials to find out when we hold special tech seminars and workshops!
The tech crew is what changes a play into a performance. Come and learn the basics of lighting, sound, and fly system.
Three training/work days will allow students to experience all aspects of technical theatre. During the performance, students will get to choose which crew they would like to work on, including backstage crew.
Each member of the tech crew will be required to own a pair of heat resistant work gloves, available at any hardware store, a small flashlight, and a set of black clothing, including black shoes & socks, to wear during the production. Led by Melissa + Jason Lamb.
Pandemic Note: Last semester we were pleasantly surprised with how well the students and staff were able to maintain CDC guidelines and state regulations in order to provide the opportunity for students to take classes, create, collaborate, and shine. Click here to read a summary of our policies, which will likely be revised as classes start back up. We will continue to monitor the guidelines and adjust as we are able to!
Tuition policies for 2020-2021: Tuition is $5 per half hour (so most classes are $10/hour). You will be billed monthly for each month of classes held. Additional fees for class materials are listed on the class pages (and in their descriptions). Normally, we do not offer refunds after the first two weeks of classes, but because we are in a pandemic, we will be offering refunds for any classes missed due to covid (but not for classes that met successfully or have a livestream option). Our full tuition policies are on our registration site.
